Welcome to EGF, we are so happy to have you in the space!

We are excited to welcome, support, and collaborate with many incredible organizations. In that same spirit of collaboration we ask all guests to treat the space with care, respect, and attention.

The goal of this guide is to provide you with important information allowing you to move through the space with confidence. We want you to feel at home while also helping us care for the space.

EGF Address & Hours of Operation

Address: 61 Gramercy Park N, New York, NY, 10010, 3rd & 4th Floors

Hours of Operation: The space is available to reserve Tuesday-Thursdays from 9:30AM to 4:30PM, unless other arrangements have been made.

Arrival & Access

Upon arrival, we invite organization on-site leads and guests to proceed directly to either the 3rd or 4th floor where their reserved room is located and check in with an EGF team member. The organization’s designated on-site lead must be present prior to their guests’ arrival and through the duration of the reservation. After the reservation ends, all guests are welcome to access our common spaces to continue collaborating or working within our hours of operation.

Printer

Printer name: Kyocera TASKalfa MZ3501ci

 

The printer is located on the 3rd floor in the copy room, across from the pantry. Organization on-site leads and guests are welcome to use the printer to print, scan, or make copies during their visit. To connect to the printer, please bring the device you are printing from within proximity of the printer. From your device, select the option to “Add a Printer.” The EGF printer should appear as an available printer while you are nearby. Once connected, you should be able to print from your device.

EGF supplies standard 8.5 x 11-inch paper. If you need to print on any other paper size, specialty paper, labels, cardstock, or other materials, please bring those materials with you. If you need help connecting to or using the printer, please contact an EGF team member.

 

AV and Tech Support

The 3rd floor Commons, 4th floor Boardroom, and rooms 402 & 403 have a television capable of screen mirroring and video conferencing. Hard copies of instructions on how to connect to video conferencing and how to use the system to share your screen for presentations are provided in each room. If you need additional support, please contact an EGF team member.

Shared Space Etiquette

EGF is a shared working environment. While you are here, please be mindful of your surroundings and respectful of others who may also be working, meeting, or gathering in the space. When using common areas, please be thoughtful about volume, group conversations, and phone or video calls so that the space remains comfortable and welcoming for everyone.

Common Areas

You are welcome to use the designated common areas during your visit.

Common areas include:

3rd Floor

  • Communal tables in the pantry area

  • Cozy corner

  • Library located on the 3rd floor

  • Lounge located near the reception area

4th Floor

  • Table in the reception area

  • Communal tables in the pantry area

  • Soft seating next to the boardroom

Please keep common areas clean and return chairs after use so space remains welcoming and available for others.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located behind the reception area on both the 3rd and 4th floors. Enter through the door behind the reception/front desk area, to the right of the EGF logo. Please alert an EGF team member if a restroom needs attention.

Storage for Coats, Bags, and Personal Items

Guests should keep their valuable items with them during their visit. Closets are available for coats, bags, and luggage and are located behind the reception desk and in front of the restrooms on the 3rd and 4th floors.

 

Pantry Use

All guests are welcome to use the pantry during their visit. Please help us keep the pantry area clean, and ready for the next person. If you need any assistance, please contact an EGF team member.

  • Filtered hot and cold water at the sink

  • Microwave

  • Trash bin

  • Recycling bin

  • Compost bin

  • Ice Maker

  • Mini refrigerator

  • Mini freezer

  • Cups

  • Placemats

  • Coasters

Food Storage

Guests are welcome to store personal food and/or beverages in refrigerators during their visit. Please label any items that you put in the refrigerator. Please do not use or remove anything from the refrigerator that does not belong to you or your group. All items must be removed before you leave.

Leave No Trace Policy

EGF upholds a “Leave No Trace” policy. Each organization is responsible for ensuring that all food waste, paper goods, cans/bottles, and work materials are either removed or properly disposed of before departure. Thanks for helping us maintain a clean and welcoming space for all.

Trash, Recycling & Compost

Guests are asked to place all trash and recyclables in the designated receptacles. Recyclables items are metal, plastic, cardboard or glass and should be placed in the designated recycling receptacle. A compost bin is available in the pantry for food scraps and food soiled packaging. Extra garbage bags are located at the bottom of each trash receptacle. When exiting, please make sure all waste has been disposed of in either a trash receptacle or garbage bag and tied. We thank you for clearing your garbage and using the extra trash bags that are provided.

 

Spills & Cleaning Support

If a spill occurs, please clean it up as promptly as possible using the cleaning products available in your space.

Lost and Found / Personal Belongings

EGF is not liable for personal belongings left behind in the space. Please make sure to take all personal items with you when you leave. Lost and found items will be held for up to 30 days. For questions about lost and found items, please contact Alex Hamilton.

Exiting Instruction Checklist

Before you leave, please make sure to:

  • Remove all personal belongings

  • Remove any leftover food, drinks, or catering items

  • Dispose of trash and recycling in the correct bins

  • Return chairs to the way you found them

  • Report any damages, broken items, or cleaning needs to an EGF team member
