For over a century, The Edwin Gould Foundation—now simply EGF – has stood alongside visionary leaders tackling inequity, educational disparity and career outcomes for young people from low-income backgrounds. Our journey began with the compassionate leadership of Edwin Gould—ahead of his time, he founded residential schools and workforce training programs for children and young women who had few opportunities. Over the years EGF has stood with those working to level the playing field for young people. EGF has incubated bold ideas, backed earlystage nonprofits and supported leaders working to change systems that stagnate and marginalize. Today, as we enter a new chapter, we are rooted in the same values that have always defined us, equity, partnership and care. At our new headquarters at 61 Gramercy Park North we have created a space for leaders to gather, organizations to grow and movements to take shape. A place where leaders are trusted and seen as the powerful change agents they are, where their brilliance is elevated and those they fight for have every opportunity to thrive.
